PoolWatch CA is a real-time status tracker for public swimming pools across Canada, operated by SmartRoutes Ltd. The free service shows open/closed/limited status for 102 pools. The Pro subscription ($2.99 CAD/month or $24.90 CAD/year) adds email alerts when your saved pools change status.
Pool status is provided on a best-efforts basis and may not be correct or current at all times. Always verify directly with the pool before travelling. PoolWatch CA accepts no liability for wasted trips or inconvenience.
We offer a 7-day full refund for new Pro subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within your first 7 days, contact us via the "Report an issue" button on any pool page and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
After 7 days, subscriptions are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time to stop future charges.
Use the "Report an issue" button on any pool page, including your subscription email address, and we will issue a refund via Stripe to your original payment method. We are a small team and will respond as quickly as we can.
Cancel any time from the Alerts settings modal — click "Manage billing" to access the Stripe Customer Portal. Alternatively, contact us via the "Report an issue" button on any pool page and we will cancel on your behalf.
Donations to PoolWatch are voluntary and non-refundable. PoolWatch / SmartRoutes Ltd is not a registered charity, and donations are not tax-deductible (they do not qualify for a donation tax credit).
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights above, PoolWatch and SmartRoutes Ltd are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on status information (including wasted trips). Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount (if any) you paid us in the 12 months before the relevant claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Canadian courts.
